What changes the price
- Material and height
- Cedar and vinyl cost more than pressure-treated wood; a 6-ft fence costs more than a 4-ft one.
- Length and layout
- More feet cost more, but the price per foot usually drops on longer runs. Corners and grade changes add labor.
- Gates
- Gates need heavier posts and hardware. Custom-welded iron gates cost more than wood ones.
- Old fence removal
- We remove and haul away the old fence; the work depends on its size and material.
- Ground and access
- Roots, concrete, slopes or hard-to-reach yards can add cost.
- Permits and HOAs
- Many towns require a permit, and some HOAs have style and height rules. Check before you start.
