Built to fit your house
Most homes in Chicago don’t have standard measurements — steps settle, porches lean, openings are odd sizes. Because we fabricate in our own shop, each railing is made for the place it goes, not cut down from a kit.
Safety first
Railings protect people from falls, so they have to be solid. We anchor posts securely and weld every joint — no wobbly sections and no gaps a child could slip through.
Common questions
Do I need a permit for a new railing in Chicago?
Replacing pickets or a railing in-kind usually doesn't need a permit. Adding new guards or changing the design (for example wood to steel) can need one with drawings. We'll explain what your project needs at the estimate.
Can you fix my railing instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. Loose posts, broken welds and rusted sections can usually be repaired and repainted for much less than a new railing.
